The Malaga Chilli is a Bird type (Capsicum frutescens) hot pepper that reaches maturity in approximately 120-130 days in summer and 140-150 days in winter after transplanting. The Malaga Chilli changes colour from green to red, has small, slightly tapered fruit with a length of 2 cm and a diameter of 0.75 cm. The fruit of Malaga is very hot, very thin walled and can be used for powder or spice manufacture. The fruit, when threaded into Ristras, dries well and makes a beautiful decoration around the kitchen. A must have chilli.
