The Tuxtlas Chilli is a hybrid Serrano type hot pepper that reaches maturity approximately 65-70 days after transplanting. The Tuxtlas Chilli has a cylindrical shape that reaches length of 8 cm and a diameter of 1.3 cm with a tapered tip and colours from green to red. The Tuxtlas Chilli has a medium thick wall which lends itself to pickling because of it?s absorbency. The Tuxtlas Chilli, like it?s cousin, the Serrano, can be used as the base for chilli sauce.
